Sarah Grove

I was born & raised in Connecticut, but fell in love with Western MA. I always felt a sense of calm, confidence, and determination when I drew as a kid. Stories & imagination blossomed when I was sketching my ideas, mainly when using pen & ink. However, as I experimented with different mediums, I grew to (somewhat) tame and love bright watercolors and paint pens. Combined with my fine line pens, my pieces felt alive. I also always loved telling stories, through words and through illustration, which is what the majority of my work is about. I work with elementary-aged students in their reading and writing, which sometimes inspires my ideas, since kids can be quite creative. I hope one day to publish a children’s book (or more!), but pieces like these have helped my creative process, my artistic skills, and my imagination.
