Chris Hinckley

Chris Hinckley is a local nature photographer living in central Massachusetts with his wife (chief wildlife spotter). Chris grew up in Hardwick, MA where his passion for and appreciation of the natural world was sparked through many hours of exploring the surrounding acres of forest, farmland, and Quabbin Reservoir. Numerous family camping trips and sixteen summers of wilderness canoeing in northern Quebec served to further cement these passions.
Chris spent his college years in Utah where travel opportunities to national parklands and forests from Yellowstone and Grand Teton to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks further fueled his appreciation for the outdoors, travel and the mountain west. His interest in photography was sparked by his father who was a talented artist and photographer. Chris received his first SLR camera as a Christmas gift while in college; thus his photographic journey began.
Retirement has brought many travel and photographic opportunities as Chris and his wife have explored western inter-mountain states as well as the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Chris states, “I am very fortunate to be married to a wonderful woman who appreciates and enjoys exploring our beautiful country and is understanding regarding my photographic pursuits.”
