Those comfortable with basic throwing techniques will focus on more complex forms\, glazing\, and surface design techniques.  \nWeek 1-6 is construction\,  no class week 7 while pieces are bisque fired\, week 8 is glaze week\, week 9 is pick-up and critique party. Throughout the course\, they’ll create a variety of both functional and sculptural pieces\, from custom mugs and bowls to imaginative sculptures. With each turn of the wheel\, students will be encouraged to explore their own ideas\, experimenting with different techniques and discovering the endless possibilities of clay.\nBring a snack and water bottle and dress for mess! \n\n\n\n\nNOTE: We participate in CardToCulture for EBT card holders and have sliding scale discounts available. DESCRIPTION:A QUICK SPIN\nAges: 16+ Children under 16 need to have a ticket purchasing Parent/Guardian present.  \nVarious instructors\nSaturday August 16th 3 pm to 5:30 pm | $65 per person \nHave you always wanted to try the potters’ wheel? This is your chance!  In this 2.5 hr workshop\, our instructors will help get you centered then off you go!  It’s challenging but lots of fun!  We will trim\, glaze and fire two of your best pieces which will be ready for pick-up in about 4 -6 weeks.  For 11yrs+ or w/ parent assistance.  \nNOTE: We participate in CardToCulture for EBT card holders and have sliding scale discounts available.
