NOTES ABOUT CLASSES

Our professional art instructors teach in a friendly, and relaxed environment. Class emphasis is always on the individual student’s creative development and growth with courses for adults and young adults with all skill levels and experience.

Our target ages are not set in stone, contact us with questions regarding placement of your child.

Beginner Violin with Ricardo! – $120
Target age: 7yrs +
May 1st – June 4th (6 classes) * POSTPONED to May 8th – June12th
Tuesdays, 4pm-5pm
Max: 6 students

Ricardo Frota is a musician, music educator, violinist, percussionist, performer, improviser, and a graduate from the New England Conservatory. Kids love his playful manner and the way music just pours out of his soul! Students will need their own violins. We suggest you rent one until you are sure your child will continue with lessons after the 6 week course.

Summer Art in Nature! 
Dates: July 9th-13th, 2018
Times: 8:30am-3:30pm
Target age: 6-9yrs
Class limit: 12 students
Tuition: $220 week, extended day 8am-5:30pm add $10 day

We will be heading outdoors to Grenville Park often during this camp! Kids will learn about artist Andy Goldsworthy and experiment with printmaking, nature mandalas, weaving, dendritic prints, the Fibonacci sequence, and just taking time to appreciate the beauty around us!

Bring: Snacks, lunch and water bottle.

Art Detectives- Investigating Color, Texture, Shade and Shape 
Dates: July 23rd – 27th, 2018
Times: 8:30am-3:30pm
Target age: 7-11yrs
Class limit: 12 students
Tuition: $220 week, extended day 8am-5:30pm add $10 day

Campers will have a blast mixing colors, working with clay, experimenting with printmaking, sketching and more during this super fun week! We will head outdoors to Grenville Park for a nice long recess everyday. 

Bring: Snacks, lunch and water bottle.

Fundamentals of Drawing for Tweens/Teens- $90

Target age: 11+

Tween and Teen TuesdaysThis class provides young artists with a solid foundation in drawing. It is designed for students who are ready to take their drawing to the next level. Working with pencil and charcoal, students learn to use line, value, gesture and perspective. Students also learn to develop the ability to “see” as artists. The class works with a variety 
of subjects including still life and landscape.

Target age 8yrs-10yrs

You will love the variety of projects in this ongoing super fun class! Students will learn drawing skills, sculpting, felting, printmaking, watercolor, oil painting, and fresco painting to name a few! Each session offers different projects that encourages creativity, perseverance and confidence while teaching skills that will help students better express themselves. We value the process of making art rather than focusing on the end product, however our students are producing some amazing pieces of art!
