NOTES ABOUT CLASSES

Our professional art instructors teach in a friendly, and relaxed environment. Class emphasis is always on the individual student’s creative development and growth with courses for adults and young adults with all skill levels and experience.

Basic Drawing for Big Kids with Roc Goudreau

Drawing Basics for Youth- $90
Instructor: Roc Goudreau
Thursdays: 6pm-7:30pm
Session I: September 21,28, October 5, 12th
Session II: October 19,26, November 2,9th
Session III: November 16, 30 December 7,14th
Target age: 8+

This class provides young artists with a solid foundation in drawing. Working with pencil and charcoal, students learn to use line, value, gesture and perspective. Students also learn to develop the ability to “see” as artists. The class works with a variety 
of subjects including still life and landscape.

Pallet Painting and Pumpkin Lattes! 
Saturday, October 7th, 2pm-5pm – $40 – Kids 
Saturday, October 7th, 6pm-9pm – $50 – Adults

 

Time to decorate for Fall!  Enjoy a yummy pumpkin spice latte, or a pumpkin beer while painting a scarecrow on one side of your pallet and a snowman on the other! We’ll supply everything you need to make your pallet painting unique.  

Note: Kids pallets will be slightly smaller than adults.

Tuesdays 9:00am-11:00am
Session I: September 12,19,26 & October 3rd– Still Life w/ Eliza
Session II: October 17,24,31 & November 7th – TBD w/ Roc

Learn the basics of still life in this drawing course, suitable for beginners and any level of artistic training. Beginner students will leave this course with a solid understanding of the basics of drawing, while advanced students will learn how to push the boundaries of their skills.The beginning of the course will focus on line drawing and accurate proportions, the middle will explore tone and it’s relation to mimicking the effects of light, and students will finish by perfecting their rendering technique to make their drawing look convincingly 3-D. Each day will begin with a short exercise, designed to introduce students to all the essential drawing concepts in a memorable way.
