Wet Felted Slipper- Workshop – $95

Class limit –  6 students

In this workshop students will learn the technique of wet felting around a resist to create a pair of cozy wool slippers that you won’t want to take off!  You will learn to calculate shrinkage and how to shape these slippers around your foot or a friend’s foot for a perfect fit. Felting experience is helpful, but not necessary. This workshop is somewhat labor intensive, but well worth it! Cost: $95

Have you wanted to try fiber art and didn’t know where to start? Come join artist Trish Cataldo for an exciting new way to transform two-dimensional art into a textural wonderland! Students will learn the fundamentals of composing a photograph sized landscape by creating a foreground, middle ground and background. Students will also learn important techniques in creating distance using the horizon, detail and coloring with the help of reference photos. In addition to the basics of landscape painting, Trish will also guide students through the process of using the medium to your advantage, incorporating three-dimensional elements, blending specific color, detail, embellishment and working in a smaller scale on a flat surface.
