Learn the basics of drawing in this course through the study of drapery and cloth. One of the most elegant subjects in classical art, Drapery is both still and dynamic, making it ideal for the study of drawing.  This course will take you through the drawing process from start to finish. Every class we will study a series of drapery arrangements, each one more complex than the last. We will learn how to block in shapes and folds with both accuracy and gesture; how to convey a dramatic flow of light with tone-values; and finally, how to create the illusion of reality with form. By the end of this course you will have a thorough understanding of not only the specifics of drapery, but the fundamentals of the Drawing Process itself.
